Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026
Yasurei is currently in beta. This policy describes the data practices of the beta service and should be reviewed again before a wider public launch, including the final legal-entity and data-controller details.

Yasurei is a personal safety and check-in service. We try to collect and use only the information needed to operate the service, keep accounts secure, deliver alerts and notifications, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data, and Yasurei does not contain advertising or sponsored placement.

Information we process

Account information

When you create or use an account, Yasurei may process information such as your email address, display name, authentication method, account status, time zone, and account creation time. Managed profiles may also use a phone number for sign-in or enrollment.

Check-ins and trusted contacts

We process the schedules, grace periods, check-in events, alert state, and trusted-contact details you choose to configure. Trusted-contact information can include a name, phone number, email address, preferred notification channel, and related notification settings.

Location

Location functionality is optional. If you enable it and a Yasurei feature requests or sends a location, the service may process that location so it can be used in the relevant safety flow. Yasurei is not designed to require continuous location tracking for its core check-in functionality.

Device and app information

To operate push notifications, device registration, service health, and compatibility monitoring, Yasurei may process a device identifier generated for the app, push-notification registration information, platform, operating-system version, app version and build number, device model, installation information, and recent activity timestamps.

Support and feedback

If you contact Yasurei through the app or by email, we process the content of your message and the contact information needed to respond. If you choose to include technical information with an in-app message, that information can include platform, OS version, device model, app version, build number, time zone, and app language.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and manage Yasurei accounts;
  • run scheduled check-ins and determine when a check-in is overdue;
  • send alerts, push notifications, SMS messages, and email where configured;
  • support trusted contacts and managed-profile features;
  • provide optional location-related safety functionality;
  • diagnose failures, monitor service health, and maintain compatibility;
  • respond to support requests and feedback; and
  • maintain aggregate service statistics.

Aggregate statistics

Yasurei may maintain aggregate statistics about service use, such as registrations, sign-ins, platform distribution, OS versions, and broad country-level usage. Where practical, these statistics are designed to avoid storing raw identifiers. For example, country usage can be recorded as daily aggregate counts rather than storing the originating IP address.

Service providers

Yasurei relies on infrastructure and communications providers to operate the service. These can include Cloudflare for network and website services, Firebase for push-notification infrastructure, and Twilio for communications such as SMS and email. These providers may process information as needed to deliver their services to Yasurei.

Retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet security and operational needs, and comply with applicable obligations. Yasurei includes an account-deletion process. When deletion becomes effective, associated account data is intended to be removed in accordance with the service's deletion process, subject to information that must be retained for legitimate legal, security, or operational reasons.

Your choices

You can control optional features such as location, manage trusted contacts and schedules, choose whether to include technical information in support messages, and request account deletion from within the service where available.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect Yasurei data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and the safety features of Yasurei should not be treated as a substitute for emergency services or professional monitoring.

Children and age requirements

Yasurei is not intended to be used in a way that violates applicable age or consent requirements. Where a managed profile is used for another person, the person configuring or managing it is responsible for ensuring they have the authority and consent required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Yasurei changes. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
