Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to your use of Yasurei, including the mobile applications, website, and related services. By using Yasurei, you agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
What Yasurei is
Yasurei is a personal safety and check-in tool. It can help you schedule check-ins, notify trusted contacts when configured conditions are met, and use related safety features.
Yasurei is not an emergency service
Yasurei does not replace emergency services, professional monitoring, medical care, law enforcement, or other urgent assistance. Do not rely on Yasurei as your only way to obtain help in an emergency. If immediate assistance is needed, contact the appropriate local emergency service directly.
Service limitations
Safety notifications depend on many systems outside Yasurei's direct control, including internet connectivity, mobile operating systems, background execution, push-notification services, SMS and email providers, carrier networks, device power, permissions, and the availability of trusted contacts. A notification may be delayed, duplicated, blocked, or fail to arrive.
You are responsible for choosing appropriate check-in schedules and grace periods, keeping your device and contact information current, and testing your setup where appropriate.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. Please contact Yasurei if you believe your account has been compromised.
Trusted contacts
You are responsible for ensuring that the people you add as trusted contacts are appropriate recipients for the information and notifications you configure. You should let them know that you have added them and make sure their contact details are accurate.
Managed profiles
If you create or manage a profile for another person, you are responsible for having the authority and consent required to do so. Managed-access features should be used in a way that respects the other person's rights, privacy, and autonomy.
Acceptable use
You may not use Yasurei to:
- harass, threaten, deceive, or unlawfully monitor another person;
- send abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful communications;
- interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or circumvent security controls;
- use the service in violation of applicable law or another person's rights; or
- place unreasonable or abusive load on Yasurei's systems or communications providers.
Beta service
Yasurei is currently in beta. Features may change, be incomplete, or occasionally be unavailable. We may change, suspend, or discontinue beta functionality as we improve reliability and prepare the service for wider release.
Free core functionality
Yasurei's guiding principle is that essential personal safety functionality should remain free. If optional paid features are introduced in the future, their terms and pricing will be disclosed separately.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Account suspension or termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, communications infrastructure, or legal compliance, including in cases of abuse, fraud, security risk, or material violation of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Yasurei is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise that the service will always be available, error-free, or able to deliver every notification. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Yasurei evolves. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to make the updated terms available before or when they take effect.
